Megan received her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2006 and her law degree from the University of Toronto in 2009. In law school, Megan worked as a student caseworker and shift supervisor at Downtown Legal Services, where she provided free legal representation to individuals facing criminal charges. In 2008, she received the Nathan B. Strauss Q.C. Prize for Legal Ethics for her paper examining the competence of counsel in the criminal law context.

Following the completion of her law degree, Megan articled at prominent Toronto criminal law firm Greenspan Humphrey Lavine. She returned to her hometown of Regina in 2010 to complete a year-long clerkship with the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. She joined Dean D. Paquette & Associate in the fall of 2011.

Megan was called to the Ontario bar in 2010 and will be admitted to the bar in New York in 2012.

Megan’s practice is focused on criminal trials and appeals. She is conversant in French. She is an active member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association, the Hamilton Law Association and the Hamilton Criminal Lawyers’ Association.
